For me, the “Kammer” (meaning "chamber") is a symbol representing different people encountering each other in a closed
room, both in reality and figuratively.
This room is somewhere that we can meet in the fullest sense of the word. I feel like I am protected
and trapped.
The room gives me security and closeness – it challenges me to protect myself and define
boundaries. It is infinitely wide and boundlessly large – it picks me up, and takes my breath away.
On the album Kammer, released in 2018, pain and reconciliation played major roles; they were both the inspiration and breeding ground for the ensuing music.The second and current part is brighter. It is devoted to coming together and closeness in our chambers. My wife, my children, my friends and fellow human beings lead me into my, into our, rooms. We love and we quarrel, we reach out over long or short distances - and pull back from each other.
When I meet You, it creates the possibility of We.
As a musician, I depend on such encounters. The sounds come to me through these experiences. Making and writing music is like an affair of the heart for me.

Die Kammer ist für mich ein Symbol für die Begegnung verschiedener Menschen in einem geschlossenen Raum, im wirklichen wie im übertragenen Sinn. In diesem Raum können wir uns begegnen. Ich bin in ihm geschützt und gefangen. Er gibt mir Geborgenheit und Nähe – er fordert mich heraus, mich schützen und abzugrenzen zu wollen. Er hat eine unendliche Weite, ist unbegrenzt groß - er schnürt mich ein, nimmt mir die Luft zum Atmen.

Auf dem 2018 erschienenen Album Kammer haben erlebter Schmerz und Versöhnung einen großen Platz eingenommen; sie waren Inspiration und Nährboden für die entstandene Musik.
Der vorliegende zweite Teil ist ein helleres Werk. Er ist Begegnung und dem Miteinander in unseren Kammern gewidmet. Meine Frau, meine Kinder, meine Freunde und Mitmenschen führen mich in meine, in unsere Räume. Wir können miteinander lieben oder hadern, über lange oder kurze Wege zueinander finden – uns voneinander entfernen.

Wenn Ich auf Dich trifft, eröffnet sich die Möglichkeit zum Wir.

Als Musiker zehre ich von der Begegnung. In diesem Erleben kommen die Klänge zu mir. Musizieren und Schreiben ist für mich eine Herzensangelegenheit.
